Biographical
Most Florida litigation requires some form of mediation at some point of the litigation process, typically it is right before an expensive and unpredictable trial. With the court dockets overloaded and cases being delayed for months, mediation is an efficient way to resolve a dispute that is both economical and efficient. Even more importantly is that the parties control the entire process and are not putting their entire case in the hands of a judge or jury.
Steven Teuber understands not only the litigation process and the legal arguments in your unique matter but also has 25 years of corporate experience outside of law to understand the conflict from a real world perspective. Steven understands that each case is unique and special to the parties. The diversity of subject matter, the spectrum of complexity, the variety of personalities all require individualized attention and consideration. Steven understands that a mediator's toolbox must be filled with creative approaches and thinking to assist all stakeholders in building a solution to the conflict.
Using a proactive approach, Steven is extremely effective in bringing a case to closure, resulting in early dispute resolution that translates into cost savings and a reduction of emotional and mental stress and fatigue. Steven focuses on both the substantive portions of the case but is also sensitive and empathetic to all concerned.

Rates Information
FEE SCHEDULE AND PAYMENT
In an effort to make the mediation process more predictable and able to budget, Mediations and Non-Binding Arbitrations are billed at a flat rate of $750.00 per party. Hybrid Mediation/Non-Binding Arbitration is also billed at a flat rate of $750 per party, however, if an Award Report is required, each party will be billed a FLAT RATE FEE of $250 per party to generate that Arbitrator Award Report.
An invoice for the Flat Fee charge of $750 per party will be sent automatically to each party by our Quick Books system and is due before the scheduled mediation (“Due Date”). If a party has not paid prior to the Due Date, they must provide payment at the mediation prior to commencement. Hybrid NBA Award Report is due ten (10) days after the Non-Binding Arbitration is held.
TIME BLOCKS
Two four (4) hour blocks are provided each day and mediations/arbitrations can start at 9am or 9:30am for the AM slot (10am is an allowed start for mediation or NBA only but requires direct contact with our office) and starting at 1pm or 1:30pm for the PM slot (2pm start for mediation or NBA only but requires direct contact with our office), depending on the preference of the parties.
NOTE: The "AM Block" will always terminate at 1:00pm (the end of the four (4) hour "AM block") to allow for the start of the "PM block (unless the "PM block" has not been reserved, allowing the "AM Block" to proceed as long as necessary). The "PM Block" is scheduled for 1:00pm - 5:00pm. However, if a session is started at 1:00pm, the session can last as long as the parties and mediator are making progress.
CANCELLATION POLICY
Cancellations will be charged according to when cancelled as it is directly proportional with the Mediators ability to rebook that time slot, as follows:
- Cancellations within ten (10) business days of the scheduled mediation shall be subject to 100% of the Flat Fee charged for the block (see above).
- Cancellations will be billed to both parties equally if not directed otherwise by the parties.
- All cancellations requested more than ten (10) business days will not incur any cancellation fees and all monies already paid shall be refunded.
ZOOM MEDIATION, HYBRIDS & NON-BINDING ARBITRATIONS
Zoom appointments are conducted in EVERY Florida county.
Hybrids, because of the time required to effectively conduct both a mediation and then the subsequent Non-Binding Arbitration, will only be scheduled in the pm slot.
