Biographical
I was first certified as a Circuit Civil and Family Mediator in 1993 (re-certified in Circuit Civil in 2010, Family, 2011); Mediator Number 4326FRA. Certified as an Appellate Mediator, 2011.
I have been an active mediator since 1993; I have mediated more than 4,000 disputes in various areas of the law, including, but not limited to, consumer/business disputes, personal injury and product liability cases, contract disputes, construction disputes, probate contests, family issues, and foreclosures. I am a Certified Residential Mortgage Foreclosure Mediation Program mediator, and I was rostered with both the Collins Center and Conant Center RMFM Programs until the Supreme Court cancelled the program. I am rostered with the US District Court, Middle Dist. of Florida, as a bankruptcy residential mortgage foreclosure mediator. I estimate that, between 1993 and 2012, between 30% and 40% of my practice was as a mediator; since I retired from active law practice in 2012, I devote 100% of my professional life to mediation and arbitration.
I have also been sole arbitrator in several cases, both court-referred non-binding arbitration and voluntary binding arbitration.
From 2010 to 2013, I was co-owner of Mediation Education, LLC, and was approved by the Supreme Court as a Primary Trainer of Circuit Civil mediators. Mediation Education, LLC conducted several Supreme Court-approved 40-hours Circui Civil mediator training courses during its three-year existence.
I conducted workshops at the 2011 and 2012 DRC Conferences in Orlando, both of which were well-attended and received highly favorable reviews from attendees.
