Rod B. Neuman earned his B.A. in 1984 and his J.D. in 1987 from the University of Florida. He was employed as claims and underwriting counsel for Safeco Title Insurance Company and Chicago Title Insurance Company before joining Gibbons | Neuman in 1989.

Mr. Neuman has developed expertise in the area of real estate title litigation and represents several title insurance underwriters and their insured customers in resolving real estate title problems. He also has extensive experience in mortgage foreclosures and various other types of Florida real property litigation, and regularly litigates cases that involve title or access to real estate and lien priority issues.

Mr. Neuman is a member of the Hillsborough County Bar Association, the Florida Bar (Real Property, Probate and Trust Law Section and the Problem Study Committee), the American Bar Association (Tort and Insurance Practice Section, Title Insurance Litigation Committee) and the Florida Land Title Association. Mr. Neuman also handles real estate transactions and is an approved title insurance agent for two major title insurance underwriters.

Mr. Neuman is “AV” rated by the Martindale-Hubbell Law Directory, the highest rating obtainable for an attorney, as rated by his colleagues and members of the judiciary. He became a shareholder of Gibbons | Neuman in 1994 and is a member of the firm’s board of directors. He is also a Florida Supreme Court certified mediator and certified in the United States District Court for the Middle District of Florida.

When he is not practicing law or mediating cases, Mr. Neuman enjoys golf, Gator and Buccaneer football, all forms of exercise and spending time with his family.
