Oscar is a highly experienced mediator, having mediated cases in virtually all areas of civil litigation in state and federal courts including disputes arising from torts, personal injury, insurance, breach of contract, shareholder and partnership disputes, real estate related litigation, and general busniess disputes. He is a Past Chair of the Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR) Section of The Florida Bar and is on the AAA Master Mediators Panel. He is certified by the Florida Supreme Court in Civil Circuit and Appellate Mediations, and he has the Florida Supreme Court Approved Certificate of Training Completion for Court-Appointed Arbitrators, as well as being on the approved panel of mediators for United States District Court for the Middle District of Florida.

In addition to his service on the ADR Section of The Florida Bar, Oscar gives back to the legal profession by serving on a number of standing committees of The Florida Bar, including his past service as Vice-Chair of the Judicial Nominating Procedures Committee, and his current service on the Professional Ethics Committee, as well as having served two terms on Bar Grievance Committees. Oscar also gives back to the profesion by his service to his law school, having been President of the UF Law Alumni Council and Chair of the UF Law Center Association Board of Trustees. Oscar is a frequent speaker on trending legal issues, often focusing on legal ethics.

Before founding OAS Mediation, Oscar was an equity partner with an AmLaw 100 law firm, where he tried cases in state and federal courts, and argued appeals before state appellate courts and the United States Court of Appeals for the 11th Circuit. He earned his juris doctor from the University of Florida Levin College of Law, earning membership in the Order of the Coif.
