Biographical
Mr. Freud is a full-time mediator. He has handled over 6,000 mediations during his 43 years as a Trial Lawyer and Mediator in a wide variety of substantive practice areas. He is a state certified Florida and federally listed mediator (Florida) and, a Texas Credentialed Distinguished Mediator (Texas Mediator Credentialing Association).
Specializing in pre- and post suit, multi-party, high value, layered and complex disputes, John brings a unique style and structure to each and every mediation environment. His focus is not merely on the facts of a particular conflict, but more importantly it includes a persistent effort to determine the underlying drivers of decision-making of each participant, party and lawyer alike, in the mediation process.

Mr. Freud is a member in good standing of the Florida Bar (active); the Texas Bar (active); the Massachusetts Bar (inactive status); Executive Board Member, National Association of Distinguished Neutrals; Distinguished Credentialed Mediator, Texas Mediatior Credentialing Association. Mr. Freud has maintained an AV rating in Martindale-Hubbell for over three decades. He is listed in Chambers, Track 1 - Alternative Dispute Resolution; Who's Who in America/American Law; Who's Who of Emerging Leaders; and, Who's Who in Construction. He is admitted to practice before the Florida Supreme Court; the United States District Courts (Southern, Middle and Northern Districts of Florida); United States Court of Appeals, Fifth and Eleventh Circuits; and, the United States Supreme Court; and all state courts in Texas.
