Biographical
W. Jay Hunston, Jr. is a solo dispute resolution practitioner, located in Stuart, FL, but practicing statewide in both Florida and Montana. He was previously a litigation partner with Boose, Casey, Ciklin, Lubitz, Martens, McBane & O'Connell, in West Palm Beach. Mr. Hunston's career as a trial lawyer began in 1976 and he earned certification as a Florida Bar Board Certified Civil Trial Lawyer at the inception of that specialty area in Florida in 1983 through 2003.
After earning certification as a Circuit Civil Mediator in 1991 and as a Family Mediator in 1998, Mr. Hunston made the decision to restrict his practice solely to third party neutral dispute resolution services as of January 1, 2001. In 2001 he was admitted to the Montana Bar. Mr. Hunston then earned certification as an Appellate Mediator in 2012. He was appointed to the American Arbitration Association's Roster of Neutrals in Commercial and Construction Arbitration and Mediation in 2013.
As a fulltime mediator/arbitrator/special master, Mr. Hunston specializes in the resolution of complex civil, construction and probate disputes.
