Biographical

David's experience as a mediator and litigator is exceedingly broad and includes professional liability, personal injury, insurance law, intellectual property claims, employment disputes, transportation claims, real estate, probate,  community association law, and shareholder disputes. 

David is a graduate of Emory University and the University of Florida College of Law. He was a litigation attorney for 30 years in Central Florida. David is a nationally recognized expert on mediation advocacy and ethics, and a lecturer for bar and insurance organizations across the United States. He has  been a guest lecturer at the University of Florida College of Law, UCF, and at Lloyds London. He has provided mediation training for national law firms and for claims personnel at AIG, Hartford, CNA, Zurich, and Philadelphia Insurance Company. He is the publisher of Mediation Minute, a montly blog devoted to mediation advocacy. David has been published or featured in publications including The Florida Bar Journal, Entrepreneur, For the Defense, National Underwriter, and Orlando Lawyer. He lives in Orlando with his wife Sharon Jablonski Henry. David is actively involved with philanthropy serving as Vice-President and Director of the Henry Family Foundation which provides support to a variety of organizations including food banks, shelters, help for seniors, pediatric medicine,  and organizations providing support to veterans and their families.

Rates Information

Rates are $390-450/hr. for most civil mediations with the fee split evenly between the parties.  Discounted rates for government, public interest,  or other selected matters including presuit mediations. There is a pro bono mediation service available on my website for legal aid cases.  I do not charge for travel inside the state of Florida.
