Biographical
Adam Kantor is a Full Equity Partner at the law firm of Banker Lopez Gassler P.A. and also serves on his firm’s Board of Directors. He was born in Dayton, Ohio. He attended college on an athletic scholarship at Boston University and graduated in 1995. He continued his education at Boston University School of Law where he received his Juris Doctor in 1998. While still in law school, he was commissioned into the US Navy Judge Advocate General’s Corps. He spent his first three years in the Navy as a criminal prosecutor serving in San Diego, California at the Trial Service Office West. While at this command, he was selected as the Naval Criminal Investigative Service’s Prosecutor of the Year.
He then switched roles and served two years as a criminal defense attorney in Naples, Italy representing his clients all across Europe and Southeast Asia. Adam also served during Operation Iraqi Freedom spending several months in the Kingdom of Bahrain and earned the Armed Services Expeditionary Medal and Navy Commendation Medal. At the conclusion of his overseas tour, he was selected to be an Associate Professor of Law at the US Naval Academy teaching in the Leadership Ethics and Law Department. While still at the Naval Academy, he was promoted to Lieutenant Commander. In 2005, he joined the civilian law firm of Fowler White Boggs Banker (later splitting off to become his current firm of Banker Lopez Gassler P.A.).
Adam is still actively litigating cases and knows the complexities that trial brings. He has tried numerous matters to verdict in both State and Federal Courts. He has litigated cases involving trucking, sports and amusement parks, wrongful death, premises liability, auto negligence, negligent security and property damage.
Adam is admitted to practice law in all Florida State Courts as well as Federal Courts including the Northern and Middle Districts of Florida. He is also admitted to practice in the State of New Jersey.
In his free time, Adam teaches at Gracie Tampa South a mixed martial arts studio. He is a Black Belt in Brazilian Jiu Jitsu and trains MMA fighters competing in local organization as well as in the UFC.
